As part of a Squash Ireland initiative, Highfield is involved in the promotion of the Women-in-Squash programme that aims at promoting the even greater involvment of women in our sport. In recent years we have been fortunate in securing funding for various aspects of the programme including marketing, coaching and tournaments.
As the success of W.I.S. grows and as more clubs become involved it is inevitable that our club's share of the available funds must lessen. Therefore, the women's group steering this area has concluded that the most effective way of continuing what has worked well in Highfield is to request that those who are availing of the W.I.S. activity on Thursday evenings make a contribution of €20 in September (or first half of season) and in January (or second half of the season).
This additional contribution by those attending our Thursday Ladies Night will cover the cost of the lights and of the coaching hours. You can pay that contribution here.
